Arthritis normally seen among Nepalese
1. Polaroid arthritis Among hundreds of arthritis, Polaroid arthritis is seen the most in Nepal. It normally affects the small joints of hands and feet. It mainly affects women between age 20-50 but everyone has a risk of having it.
2. Rheumatoid arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis increases with busy and increasing age and is known as a strong disease. At starting the joints swell and hurt but if not treated in time it can jam all the joints, bending and they become useless. It even harms different organs of the body.
3. Spondyloarthritis: This arthritis is very painful as it causes swelling on the joints of back. It also attacks the joints inside thighs. It mainly affects men and it can be taken as a heredity arthritis.
4. Lupus arthritis: This mainly affects young men and women. If not treated it can become very painful. Spots appear in different parts of the body, wounds inside mouth and other signs are also seen. If not treated in time, it can affect different organs and cause death.
5. Scleroderma: It is an arthritis which causes thickening of skin on face, feet and hands and is normally seen among old people and aging women. It causes pain, swelling and skin becomes white, blue and red when it comes in contact with water. If not cured in time, it will affect nerves and other vital organs and also will cause asthma and some wounds.
